TO HELP YOU CHOOSE WHICH MAIN CROP SEED POTATOES SROLL THROUHG OUR GUIDE
GIVE YOUR SEED A HEAD START, INCREASE EARLIER & HEAVIER CROP
- Early varieties should be "chitted" in January and February
- there is no need to chit the main crop seed potatoes as they have longer growing season
- to chit lay seed potatoes on newspaper or old egg box in light cool place in your house.
- place them with the most sprouts upwards
- when sprouts are developed leave the strongest four and rub off the rest of them
- when they are about 1 inch long the chitting is complete
- plant from mid March
